enough for the job. Attaching a rope, string, or other object to the end of a tape that's too small will virtually guarantee you will receive an incorrect estimate or the wrong size product! Beg, borrow, or purchase a tape that's long enough to measure properly. 2.

Step 1. First you will need to define the shape of your dome. (Most of the time, domes are mounted directly on the concrete deck. On occasion, the wall(s) of a dome will need to traverse over grass, a flower-bed, or some other surface. We have developed ways to make a dome work in these situations. Give us a call and we can discuss options with you.) To define the shape of the dome, place "markers" such as coins, rocks, or some other easily movable objects on the deck surface to get an idea of where your dome should placed. Place a "marker" at each spot where the walls of the dome are to change direction. As an example, for a 9 "point" dome you will have 9 "markers" placed on the deck as shown in Step 4 below. After you feel comfortable with the shape you have designed, replace the "markers" with indelible marks about the size of a dime on your pool deck. You will need these marks when the dome is installed. Keep all points at least 6" in from the outside edge of the concrete. This keeps the concrete from "blowing out" or cracking when the anchors are set. Step 2. Draw a rough diagram of your Dome design on the form provided HERE. Step 3. Establish points "A" and "B" somewhere between 3' to 6' away from the out- side of the Dome. The total distance between "A" and "B" should be about 2/3 the length of the pool. This "A" -"B" line should run as parallel as possible to the pool. (see drawing below) Write down on your log sheet the distance from "A" to "B".
Step 4. Number the points on your deck with #1 being the closest point to the upper left of point "A". Continue numbering in a clockwise manner. Measure from point "A" to point #1 (and all other subsequent points) and log them on your log sheet as you go.
Step 5. Measure from point "B" to point #1 (and all other subsequent points) as shown in the example below and log them on your log sheet.
Step 6. Select & provide at least 2 "cross-check" dimensions (shown as red lines below) on the form. Try to take these measurements at points that are the furthest apart.
Step 7. Once completed please fax your diagram and the A-B log to (530) 589-2510. When we receive your fax we will "plug" your dimensions into our new dome design program and get back to you with the price, etc.. This new program allows us to make Your New Dome Exactly to your specifications. Should you have any questions, please give us a call. We want your dome project to be a total success!
