Covercraft's Rail System Tonneau Cover is designed to give you the Custom look of a traditional vinyl tonneau cover, without the hassle of drilling holes in your truck for snaps. Our new rail system gives you that great "Classic Custom Look" and still provide protection for that "special" cargo.
Covercraft's Rail System Tonneau Cover's innovative clamping system use the Tite-Lok clamp and allows installation without drilling, screws, or adhesives. The Tite-Lok clamps secure to the side walls of the truck bed. These clamps have been used by many camper shell companys to secure camper shells to trucks proving the strength and dependibility of this securing system. In addition, there is a protective layer of polyolefin foam between the rail and your truck to protect the finish of your vehicle. This is an important feature if you find yourself having to use your truck without the cover. This polyolefin layer also acts as a weather protective seal to insure the integrity of the tonneau.
The rail system frame (above) is constructed of anodized aluminum using a .060" thick triangular wall design for maximum strength and little to no flex. There is no need to add trusses or add on brackets to increase rigidity. Covercraft is so confident of this product that they are offering a life-time warranty on the frame itself and will replace it if under normal use it becomes unservicable.

The inside channel of the rail system allows the bows which run from side to side can be positioned any where needed. The bows are made of heavy duty rectangular tube allowing maxium strength to insure rain run off and giving your cover that tight custom look. |
The beauty of the Rail System Tonneau Cover is the fasteners that attach the cover to the frame. The cover has the appearance of a hard Tonneau cover yet, upon closer inspection, the feel of a soft cover giving your truck that custom look. The fasteners are hidden underneath and use a special key for opening,increasing the security of your cover. The design of these fasteners will not allow grime or grit to accumulate as when snaps are used. These new fasteners are designed to spread the stresson the fabric over a much greater area of the material (snaps put all the stress on a small 1/8" hole). These fasteners are manufactured with nylon resins, and work well in all weather conditions.
Covercrafts patent pending fasteners allow you to easily access the bed of your truck, wherever you need to. You will no longer have to struggle with trying to align snaps and a Great Feature is you can open the tailgate without having to remove the cover! If you have ever owned a tonneau with snaps you won't believe how simple this system is compared to your old top. Fiberglass reinforced nylon slip-joint corner sections allow the removal of the rear rail to get that oversized item to the job or home.
