The
Ameri-Brand Rooms Heavy Duty framework system is constructed
of
1"
x 2" x -1/8" wall thickness rectangular aluminum tube. All bolts
for
the construction of the framework are stainless steel. The perimeter
bolts
used to secure the perimeter to a concrete or wooden deck are
zinc
coated steel. We supply all items needed to construct the room.
There
is nothing else to buy.
All
intersecting points of the framework are attached with Heavy Duty
Slip
Fittings which are pre-drilled to accept the stainless steel bolts.
The
arches of the room have typical 5' spacings for strength. A unique
truss
support system coupled with steel tensioning cables assures an
extremely
stout structure and it looks good too!
The
wall coverings are designed to ride on a polymer track which is
secured
to the perimeter of the room. This perimeter is "sealed" to the
deck
with weatherstripping to keep out cold air and unwanted bugs.
These
coverings can be made from screen, clear vinyl, or a solid vinyl
color.
Here's
a view of a corner on one of our rooms. The walls are ten-
sioned
both vertically
and horizontally (inside the room) with polyester
webbing
straps and tensioning buckles. The length of each wall varies
according
to the size of the room. Normally, a single wall panel can run
up
to 50' long. By tensioning the walls in such a manner, the room it-
self
is made stronger and there are virtually
no sags or wrinkles in the
wall
fabric whether it's screen or solid vinyl. This tensioning is so effec-
tive,
if you were to throw a tennis ball at it, it would come shooting
back
at you!
Wall
heights are a standard 6'-4" and the gables of the framework are
set
at a pitched angle. The angle varies according to the width of the
room.
The Rooms are able to withstand light to moderate snow loads
with
the appropriate bracing kit we offer as an option. Since the non-
screened
rooms trap warm air inside, a NON FOSSIL FUELED heater
can
be used to heat the room to help snow melt off during a snow
storm.
Should you live in an exceptionally heavy snow area, removal
of
the top panel is recommended and the walls can be left in place to
provide
a lockable fence for security if your room is over a swimming
pool.
The
roof system is manufactured as a 1 piece unit. It is installed by
using
a series of crank handles which are included with your kit. This
crank
system pulls the top cap of your room up and over the unit.
The
roof system is secured with a track and locking knob system
which
you can see a diagram of HERE.
The top perimeter hem of the
roof
cap accepts a round tube. The threaded shaft of the knob attaches
to
the tube and is secured by tightening the knob into the vertical track
while
placing downward pressure (with the tensioning strap provided)
on
the hem. It is a very strong system.
Standard
configurations for our rooms are rectangles. Each unit is
equipped
with a locking double zippered roll up door. If you desire a
hinged

Our
Room Enclosures have walls that can be made in your choice of
either
clear 20 mil vinyl or Heavy Duty 11 oz. Vinyl Screen Mesh. If
you
desire a solid color fabric wall system in lieu of the screen, we
have
them available in many colors at no additional charge. The Screen
is
Available in many Beautiful Colors. This Screen is a Vinyl Coated
Polyester
Mesh with a shade factor of approximately 70%.
Solid
vinyl is used to make certain areas of the wall systems and
hems
on the roof. These vinyls are color matched to the screen you
select,
or in the case of an all clear room, we would ask you which
color
you would like for the trim on the unit.
The
Clear Vinyl used is 20 mil. Crystal Clear PVC vinyl. You have the
option
of an any of the wall and top materials wherever you would like
them
on the room, all at the same price. Each room we make is cus-
tom
