Vinyl Sun Dome Features
Solar Warmth
A vinyl Fabrico Sun Dome extends your swimming season by trapping solar warmth around the pool or spa. This greenhouse effect can increase air temperature by up to 40°F and water temperature by up to 20°F. Results depend on sunlight, climate, and pool conditions.
Vinyl domes also cut any wind chill factor to zero, increasing the apparent temperature of your swimming environment.
Less Debris & Cleaning
The vinyl cover keeps leaves, bugs, and other debris out of the pool. With less debris to remove, you spend less time skimming and cleaning. The covered pool also uses fewer chemicals, reducing routine maintenance costs.
Construction & Materials
Cover & Frame
The cover uses 12-mil, double-polished clear vinyl with radio-frequency (RF) welded seams. The frame consists of 1-inch-diameter polished aluminum tubes joined by cast aluminum “spider” connectors at the top of the dome.
Mounting & Fastening
The mounting method depends on your pool or spa. See the above-ground, soft-sided, inground, or spa and hot tub page for the hardware and base requirements. Neoprene shock cords run through grommets at the bottom of the vinyl cover to secure it over the pool.
