Get More Use From the Pool You Already Own

Your pool can be a place for morning laps, water exercise and time together well beyond the usual summer season. An Ameri-Dome encloses the water and deck in an air-supported vinyl shelter, so you can walk in and swim without first removing a cover from the water.

Keep Your Swimming Season Going

Wind, rain and cooler air can cut a swim short. A dome shelters the space around you, making it easier to keep your swimming routine through spring and fall. With the appropriate pool heating and cold-weather setup, owners also swim through winter.

Plan for Your Climate

Keep More Warmth Around the Pool

The enclosure holds warm air above the water, captures warmth from the sun and reduces evaporation. That helps reduce heat loss and the water and chemicals you need to replace. It puts more of your pool-heating effort to use inside the enclosure.

How a Dome Helps Reduce Operating Costs

Spend Less Time Clearing the Water

Leaves, flying insects and windblown debris stay outside the enclosure. Less debris in the water means less to skim out before a swim, leaving more time for the reason you bought your pool in the first place.

Explore Everyday Pool Benefits

You can remove the dome for an open-air summer and put it back up for the cooler season. Clear walls keep the yard in view; custom shapes and entrance options help the enclosure work with your existing deck.

Planning for Winter Swimming

A pool dome shelters swimmers from wind and rain and helps retain warmth. For winter use, plan pool heating, water circulation and the electrical supply for the blower that keeps your dome inflated. Your climate and pool setup determine the operating needs.

Tell us your location and the months you want to swim. Review the cold-weather operating guidance before selecting your setup, including precautions for freezing temperatures and snow. You can remove the dome for summer; allow space to clean, dry and store it.

Install Your Ameri-Dome

Install it yourself or work with a handyman or contractor. We provide the instructions and help you plan the setup.

1. Lay Out the Enclosure

Mark the perimeter, entrance and blower location using your original measurements. Start with our measuring guide.

2. Position & Secure the Dome

Position the dome over the pool and secure it with your selected cable-anchor or water-tube system.

3. Set Up the Blower & Entrance

Set up the blower and controls, complete the entrance, and connect the power to inflate your enclosure.

Anchoring & Entrance Details

Cable anchoring involves drilling and setting sleeves in the deck, then securing the dome’s perimeter cable to eyebolts. Water-tube ballast uses a filled perimeter tube and exterior tie-downs. Position the vinyl carefully without dragging it across the deck. An optional airlock takes additional assembly time and requires cable anchoring.

What Comes With Your Dome?

The package includes your custom dome, installation instructions, blower, pressure control, blower housing and snorkel tube, plus a patch kit and storage guidance. Cable-anchor packages include the anchors, eyebolts and anchor-setting tool. Review the complete package list with your selected configuration.

How Much Time Should You Allow?

Our illustrated cable-anchor example starts at noon and reaches inflation at 5:45 p.m. Your time depends on the dome, site and options; allow extra time for an airlock. Seasonal reinstalls take less time because the deck-anchor holes are already in place.

Follow the instructions supplied with your dome. Preview the process in our illustrated guide below.

Residential Ameri-Dome Questions

How much does a residential Ameri-Dome cost?

The footprint, shape, material and entrance options affect your price. Use our residential pricing tool to work through your choices. If you need help measuring or have an unusual layout, ask our team about your pool.

Does the dome need electricity?

Yes. An electric blower runs continuously while the dome is inflated, supplying the air that supports the enclosure. Plan a suitable electrical supply and review the blower and air-seal guidance for your dome.

Do I have to drill into my pool deck?

Traditional cable anchoring uses sleeves installed in the deck. Water-tube ballast avoids perimeter deck anchors, but still requires exterior tie-downs and uses zipper entrances. Compare the two anchoring systems before selecting your setup.

Can I remove the dome for summer?

Yes. Many owners take their dome down seasonally. Plan suitable dry storage and follow the cleaning and storage guidance before packing it away.

Can I use my pool in cold weather?

Plan pool heating and water circulation as part of cold-weather operation. Your climate and setup affect the conditions inside the enclosure. Review our weather and storage guidance and discuss your location with our team.

Can you make a dome for an unusual pool shape?

Yes. We make rectangular and custom-shaped domes, including layouts with changes in deck elevation. Send your dimensions and site photos so we can review the design. See examples of dome shapes and the alternative installation guide.
