Anchor safety covers are manufactured to meet ASTM F1346-23. The standard sets performance-testing and marking requirements for covers designed to inhibit access to the water by children under five. Correct installation, use, and water management are required.
The original order number is printed on the Anchor warning label attached to the cover. Enter that number in the request form to start the replacement request.
Keep the label attached. If the number is missing or cannot be read, select “I can’t find the number” on the request form.
Start with the order or work-order number on the warning label. If Anchor cannot use the factory record, we’ll arrange factory remeasurement using your existing cover.
Enter your work-order number in the request form. We use it to locate Anchor’s original factory pattern and quote the material and color you want. The new cover’s straps match your existing anchors, and there’s no need to send in the old cover when the record is usable.
If the factory record cannot be located, your old cover can serve as the template through our Copy Cat replacement pool cover program. We arrange a prepaid shipping kit so Anchor can duplicate the cover’s measurements and anchor layout.

Newer covers with isolated damage may be repairable if the surrounding fabric, straps and stitching are still sound.
On an older cover, replacing a worn strap or renewing the stitching may not provide a lasting solution. The new strap and stitching can be stronger than the aged material they attach to, leaving the surrounding fabric vulnerable to tearing or further failure. Repairing one area does not restore strength to the rest of the cover.
That’s why an inspection considers the entire cover, not just the visible damage. If repair is practical, you can review the recommended work and price. If the surrounding material is too deteriorated, replacement may be the safer and more economical option.

A work-order number is the fastest place to start, but it is not required. Send what you have, and we’ll handle the factory review and replacement details.
Identify the cover. We verify the work-order record or determine whether the existing cover needs factory remeasurement.
Select your material and color. Every replacement includes its springs. Your quote lists the material, color and any installation tools or drainage equipment you need. Standard Cross Star hardware does not include brass anchors.
Review your free quote. Nothing is ordered until you approve it. For existing-cover duplication, factory turnaround is typically 2–3 weeks after the cover arrives. Return shipping time is additional.
Anchor Mesh and Defender Mesh carry 12-year limited warranties. Solid covers carry 10-year limited warranties. Coverage applies to the original consumer purchaser and covers defects in the cover fabric’s materials and workmanship. Qualifying defects are repaired or replaced at no charge during the first 12 months. Later coverage is prorated. Springs, rubber ties, or other hardware, plus damage from wear, abrasion, improper installation, misuse, and other listed causes are excluded. Anchor’s written warranty governs all coverage and exclusions.
