Made in the USA Since 1892

Anchor began as a family-owned riverboat supply house on the Ohio River and expanded into waterproof canvas goods. Its Evansville, Indiana, operation now produces safety pool covers and other engineered fabric products.

ASTM F1346-23 Safety-Cover Performance Standard

Anchor safety covers are manufactured to meet ASTM F1346-23. The standard sets performance-testing and marking requirements for covers designed to inhibit access to the water by children under five. Correct installation, use, and water management are required.

Where to Find Your Anchor Pool Cover Work-Order Number

The original order number is printed on the Anchor warning label attached to the cover. Enter that number in the request form to start the replacement request.

  1. Locate the warning label. Look for the rectangular Anchor Industries label attached to the cover.
  2. Find the order field. Look for WORK ORDER NO. on the label.
  3. Enter the number. Copy the original order or work-order number into the request form exactly as shown.

Keep the label attached. If the number is missing or cannot be read, select “I can’t find the number” on the request form.

How to Replace an Anchor Safety Pool Cover

Start with the order or work-order number on the warning label. If Anchor cannot use the factory record, we’ll arrange factory remeasurement using your existing cover.

Replace From the Original Work-Order Number

Enter the number from the warning label in the request form. We’ll verify it against Anchor’s factory record, identify the original cover, and confirm the current replacement options. When the record is usable, Anchor can produce the replacement without pool measurements or the existing cover as the manufacturing template.

Replace From the Existing Cover

Through the Ameri-Brand Copy Cat Program, we arrange for Anchor to remeasure the existing cover and use it as the manufacturing template. The cover’s construction and attachment layout determine the available replacement.

What We Need to Prepare Your Anchor Replacement Quote

A work-order number is the fastest place to start, but it is not required. Send what you have, and we’ll handle the factory review and replacement details.

What to Have Ready

  • Work-order information: The original order or work-order number from the warning label, if available.
  • Contact details: Your contact and shipping information.
  • Cover details: Any known material, color, damage, or unusual pool features.
  • Approximate pool size: The width and length when the work-order number is unavailable.
  • Existing cover: Whether it is available to send to the factory for remeasurement.

What We Handle

  1. Identify the cover. We verify the work-order record or determine whether the existing cover needs factory remeasurement.

  2. Confirm the complete replacement. Every replacement includes its springs, and we confirm the material, color, existing deck-anchor layout, installation tools, and water-management equipment. Standard Cross Star hardware does not include brass anchors.

  3. Review your free quote. Nothing is ordered until you approve it. For existing-cover duplication, factory turnaround is typically 2–3 weeks after the cover arrives. Return shipping time is additional.

Limited Warranty

Anchor Mesh and Defender Mesh carry 12-year limited warranties. Solid covers carry 10-year limited warranties. Coverage applies to the original consumer purchaser and covers defects in the cover fabric’s materials and workmanship. Qualifying defects are repaired or replaced at no charge during the first 12 months. Later coverage is prorated. Springs, rubber ties, or other hardware, plus damage from wear, abrasion, improper installation, misuse, and other listed causes are excluded. Anchor’s written warranty governs all coverage and exclusions.

Anchor Safety Pool Cover FAQs

Find answers about order numbers, replacement options, materials, pricing, turnaround, and warranty coverage.

How Do I Replace an Anchor Safety Pool Cover?

Send us the original order or work-order number on the cover’s warning label. We’ll verify it against Anchor’s factory record and confirm the available replacement. If the record cannot be used, we’ll arrange to send the existing cover to the factory for duplication.

Where Is the Anchor Pool Cover Work-Order Number?

Locate the Anchor Industries warning label attached to the cover and look for the field marked WORK ORDER NO. Enter the number in the request form exactly as shown.

Can I Replace an Anchor Cover Without the Work-Order Number?

Yes. If the work-order number is missing or cannot be used, we can arrange to have the existing cover remeasured and duplicated by the factory.

Can Anchor Duplicate a Cover from Another Manufacturer?

In some cases. We can arrange for Anchor to use an eligible cover from another manufacturer as the factory template. Select the no-number option on the request form to start the existing-cover duplication process.

What Anchor Cover Materials and Colors Are Available?

Anchor Mesh is available in brown, green, and blue. Defender Mesh is available in tan, green, blue, charcoal, and black. 5-Star Solid, Cross Star Solid, and Classic Solid are available in tan, brown, gray, green, blue, and charcoal.

Should I Select a Mesh or Solid Anchor Cover?

The best choice depends on your climate, maintenance preferences, and property conditions. Mesh allows rain and melting snow to drain through and is lighter to handle. Solid blocks water, sunlight, and debris for a cleaner spring opening, but it requires active water management.

Does an Anchor Mesh Cover Let Rain and Melting Snow Through?

Yes. Anchor Mesh and Defender Mesh allow rain and melting snow to drain through the cover while keeping leaves and larger debris out of the pool.

Does an Anchor Solid Cover Require a Pump?

Cross Star Solid and Classic Solid require a 1,700 GPH automatic pump. 5-Star Solid requires that pump or an approved mesh drain panel. We confirm the required water-management equipment with the replacement cover.

Which Anchor Cover Is Easier to Handle?

Mesh covers are lighter than solid vinyl covers, which generally makes installation, removal, and off-season storage easier. The cover size and pool layout also affect handling.

When Is Classic Solid the Correct Replacement?

Classic Solid is a specialized replacement for an eligible existing Classic Solid cover with rubber-strap construction. We submit the existing cover details for factory review before confirming it as the replacement material.

How Much Does an Anchor Replacement Pool Cover Cost?

Pricing depends on the cover dimensions, selected material, required hardware, and water-management equipment. We provide a free, no-obligation quote after identifying the factory record or reviewing the existing cover. You approve the quote before an order is placed.

How Long Does an Anchor Cover Replacement Take?

When an existing cover is sent to the factory for duplication, factory turnaround is typically 2–3 weeks after it is received. Return shipping time to the customer is additional, so this is not a guaranteed delivery date.

What Is ASTM F1346-23?

ASTM F1346-23 is the active performance and marking standard for safety covers. Anchor safety covers are manufactured to meet it. Correct installation, use, and the specified water-management equipment remain essential.

Can I Reuse My Existing Deck Anchors?

Yes. This replacement process matches the new cover to the original factory record or to your existing cover’s anchor layout. That allows you to reuse your existing deck anchors without drilling new holes.
