Latham solid and mesh safety covers meet or exceed ASTM F1346-91. The standard sets performance-testing and labeling requirements for covers designed to restrict access to the water by children under five. Correct installation, use, and water management are required.
Look for the serial number beneath the barcode on your safety-cover warranty document. It may also be on the white warning tag sewn to the cover. The example below shows the number marked “SN.”

The current 1000HS has an integrated Invis-A-Drain for rain and meltwater. Do not assume an older solid cover has the same arrangement. Check the drainage system and instructions for your existing cover and for the replacement being quoted.
Existing anchors may be usable if their condition and positions suit the replacement. A serial number cannot establish their present condition. Report moved anchors, deck repairs, or pool changes before the replacement layout is confirmed.
