MeycoLite mesh safety cover installed over a pool with a raised wall and perimeter springs

ASTM F1346-91Safety-Cover Performance Standard

Meyco safety covers meet ASTM F1346-91. Proper installation, secure attachments and drainage are essential to their safety performance. Follow the installation instructions and inspect your cover regularly. Stop using a torn or damaged cover as a safety cover. Never allow walking or play on it. Continue adult supervision and maintain required pool barriers.

Find Your Meyco Serial / Plan Number

Your serial number connects the replacement request to the original cover plan.

Where to Find the Number

  1. Check your warranty paperwork. Look for the serial / plan number on the original Meyco warranty form.
  2. Check the underside of the cover. The serial number is sewn underneath. Look for it only when you can safely handle the cover.
  3. Copy the number exactly. Keep a clear photo of the number with your cover paperwork and enter it in the replacement request.

Missing Paperwork or a New Home?

Missing paperwork does not mean you have to start from scratch. If the cover was registered, Meyco can look up its plan using the warranty number, original owner’s name or property address. Call us with the information you have so we can help locate the record.

Keep your existing cover and hardware until we confirm the replacement details. Tell us about changes to the coping, deck anchors, steps, walls or attached spa. Those changes affect how the new cover fits.

Get a Meyco Replacement Cover Quote

Our pool-cover specialists work with Meyco to check your original cover information and prepare your replacement quote. We help you compare materials, account for pool changes and understand what you’re ordering.

What to Include in Your Request

  • Serial / plan number. Copy it exactly from your Meyco warranty paperwork or the number sewn underneath the cover.
  • Pool and owner information. Include the pool address and any original owner details you have to help us locate the factory record.
  • Material and color. Tell us what you have now and what you want for the replacement, including any change to the drainage design.
  • Damage and pool changes. Describe cover damage and changes to the pool, coping, deck anchors or hardware so we can check the fit.

How We Check Your Replacement

We use your serial number to request the original factory record. Then we check the material, drainage design and attachment layout against the changes you report.

Changing to RuggedMesh or PermaGuard requires an anchor-spacing check. We work with Meyco to confirm whether the existing layout suits the new material or needs changes.

You review the replacement specification and price before ordering. If the factory needs more information or updated measurements, we explain what to provide.

Three Material Options

Select the material that suits your pool and the way you maintain it. We explain the differences in handling, drainage and debris filtering before you decide.

Blue MeycoLite mesh cover fitted around a freeform pool and raised spa

MeycoLite

Lightweight mesh that lets rain and melted snow drain through the fabric while blocking 95% of sunlight.

MeycoLite is the lighter mesh option for installation and storage. Keep the fabric clear of debris so water can drain.

Meyco RuggedMesh safety cover showing its tight weave, reinforced seams and deck springs

RuggedMesh

A denser mesh that filters finer debris and blocks 99% of sunlight. Suitable for pools up to 2,500 sq ft.

RuggedMesh drains more slowly than MeycoLite. Check it during wet weather and keep the weave clear to prevent standing water.

Tan Meyco PermaGuard solid safety cover fitted to a freeform backyard pool

PermaGuard

Solid fabric that blocks 100% of sunlight through its panels. Available with a drain strip or a pump drainage design.

Keep the drain strip clear of debris. A PermaGuard cover without a drain strip requires a pump to remove surface water while installed.

Meyco Safety Cover Models, Colors and Warranties

Compare the specifications that affect handling, drainage and seasonal care. Fabric weight is measured per square yard, not for the entire finished cover.

Light-blockage percentages apply to the fabric. PermaGuard’s drain strip lets water pass through and has different filtering characteristics from its solid panels. Swatches show approximate colors. We confirm your material, color and drainage design with the replacement specification.

12 years total: the first 3 years cover qualifying repair or replacement without a cover charge. The remaining years are prorated, so the owner pays part of the cost. Freight and labor are excluded.

Construction, Care and Warranty

Protect the fabric, keep water draining and understand your warranty coverage.

Inspect Throughout the Season

Meyco covers have reinforced straps, double perimeter webbing and UV-resistant stitching. Regular care protects those components.

Inspect Regularly
Check before installation and removal, every 45–60 days while installed, and after major storms or impacts.
Check Fabric and Hardware
Look for tears, brittle fabric, broken stitching, worn straps and damaged springs, especially around the coping.
Keep Water Draining
Clear leaves and debris, keep drains open and maintain the water level specified in your cover instructions.
Store with Care
Clean and dry the cover, then store it in its bag in an area protected from rodents.

12-Year Limited Warranty

First 3 Years
Full coverage for qualifying seam or material failure.
Years 4–12
Prorated repair or replacement.

Coverage applies to the original owner when the cover is registered with Meyco within 30 days of installation. Removal, freight and reinstallation costs are excluded, along with wear, animal damage and damage from improper use or care.

The original warranty does not transfer when the property changes owners. Call us with your serial number and photos if you suspect a manufacturing defect.

Meyco Replacement Questions

How Do I Replace My Meyco Safety Cover?

Send us your serial number, contact information and the changes you want. We request the original factory record, check the replacement details with Meyco and prepare your quote. You review the specification and price before ordering.

Is the Serial Number Enough to Order?

The serial number starts the factory lookup. Tell us about changes to your pool, coping, deck or anchors so we can check the replacement fit. We explain any additional information or measurements needed before you order.

What If I Cannot Find the Serial Number?

Check the warranty form and underside of the cover. If you still cannot find it, call Ameri-Brand at 1-800-982-6966 with the pool address and any original owner information. We can work with Meyco to locate a registered cover’s plan.

Can I Change the Material or Color?

Yes, subject to the requirements of your cover layout. Tell us which material and color you prefer. RuggedMesh and PermaGuard have specific anchor-spacing requirements, so we check compatibility with Meyco before confirming a material change.

Will the Replacement Use My Existing Deck Anchors?

We check the original attachment layout and the changes you report before confirming anchor reuse. Worn hardware, moved anchors, deck repairs or a different material can require adjustments. Include those details in your request.

Does a PermaGuard Cover Need a Pump?

A PermaGuard cover without a drain strip requires a pump while installed. A drain-strip version lets water pass through the designated strip. Keep that strip clear of debris and remove standing water according to the cover instructions.

Should I Ship My Existing Cover Now?

Contact us before shipping anything. Start with your serial number and keep the existing cover and hardware available. We’ll explain the next step after checking the original cover information and your replacement needs.

How Much Does a Meyco Replacement Cover Cost?

Price depends on the cover’s size, material and custom features. Send your serial number so we can identify the original cover and quote the replacement you want. You review the details and price before placing an order.

Is a Replacement Request a Warranty Claim?

This form requests a replacement quote. If you suspect a manufacturing defect, call us with your serial number, warranty paperwork and photos. We’ll help you understand the warranty requirements before you proceed.

Is This for an Automatic Pool Cover?

This request is for seasonal mesh and solid safety covers secured with straps, springs and deck anchors. For a motorized cover, call us at 1-800-982-6966 with the manufacturer and system details.
