Now with the Ameri-Dome, you can enjoy your pool in nearly any climate throughout the entire year. A very large percentage of our domes are sent to the Northeast and the upper Midwest states. For some, the swimming season is limited to only 3 or 4 months per year. Our domes are designed for use in these types of areas so you may either swim all year round or greatly extend your normal swimming season.

  • The pure enjoyment of swimming whenever they desire.
  • Extending of their swimming season.

By using the Ameri-Dome, you can truly get the most from your pool.

Safety

Safety is an issue which confronts any pool owner. Where there is water, the potential for accidents increases. One of the many well-thought-out features on all of our swimming pool enclosures is the ability to place a lock on the entry to keep out any “curious” small children and pets. The entry can also be locked when you are away for the day or out of town for an extended period of time. This extra measure of security gives you and your loved ones extra “peace of mind.”

Operational Savings

Let's face it, swimming pool maintenance and pool operation can amount to a considerable amount of money and time. With the placement of an Ameri-Dome on your pool, the costs of chemicals, heating, and water replenishment will noticeably decrease.

Since the swimming pool dome covers the entire pool, there will be a minimal loss of chemicals and water through the process of evaporation. Keeping your chemical balance at the correct levels will also be an easier task, as not only will fewer chemicals be required, the chemicals remaining in the pool will not expend themselves so quickly due to the absence of the normal “contaminants” associated with an open-air pool. You not only save money, but we'll guess that your time might be worth something too!

Heating your pool in the early fall and late winter seasons will be less expensive also. The dome is actually a barrier between the outside air and your pool water. As the heat rises off of the surface of the water, it is trapped within the pool enclosure. Heat from the sun will help to heat the water and the air within the dome, as you will see when you read the section on the “greenhouse” effect.

Lifespan / Warranty

The “lifespan” of our domes varies somewhat due to the following situations and conditions:

  1. Climate in which the pool dome is installed.
  2. Cleaning and subsequent storage of the dome.
  3. Whether or not the dome is left up in hotter weather.
  4. Chemical balance of the swimming pool water.
  1. Generally speaking, the hotter the climate, the shorter the life of the unit. In warmer areas such as Phoenix, Arizona, we'll get about 7 to 9 years of service from a dome. In the colder regions, a lifespan of 9 to 12 years is not uncommon. Recently, our facility manufactured a new unit to replace a 12-year-old one in the Northeast. (Interestingly enough, the original blower was still working fine!)

  2. Proper cleaning and storage of the unit will prolong the life of the product and make the following season's installation much more pleasant. It is not a difficult procedure, and the long-term benefits are worth it. The unit should be stored in the original carton located in a dry area.

  3. If a swimming pool enclosure is left up in very hot weather for extended periods of time, there may be a problem. In this situation, the unit can heat up excessively from the combination of the sun and the accumulation of the retained heat within itself. This heat can cause the pool dome to stretch out of shape, and it will not return to its original design. If you live in Phoenix, take it down before those really hot months arrive!

  4. Proper water chemical balance will help to prolong the life of your unit. This is also true of your pool liner if it is vinyl. Keeping this item in order will help you maximize the full potential of the life of your swimming pool dome.

NOTE: Dome Warranty is activated upon receipt of photos by Ameri-Brand showing proper installation. Ameri-Brand will provide written acknowledgment that the dome is in fact installed properly after inspection of the photos. SEE WARRANTY BELOW.

A copy of the actual warranty of the dome is posted below:

Three-Year Limited Warranty

Ameri-Dome warrants to the original purchaser that Ameri-Dome Enclosures are guaranteed against defects in workmanship, defective material, or actual weld separation within the welds themselves for a period of three (3) years from the date of delivery. The first year of this warranty is unconditional relating to defects covered above. The following two (2) years are based on a straight pro-rata basis, governed by the current retail pricing of the dome at the time of the warranty claim.

This Warranty Is Subject to the Following Conditions

  1. That at all times while the dome is in place, it is anchored in accordance with the instructions provided in the installation guide.
  2. That the equipment used with the dome (blower and pressure regulator) be the same equipment supplied by Ameri-Dome.
  3. That the dome be stored in a clean and dry state, out of direct heat.

Dome Warranty is activated upon receipt of photos by Ameri-Brand from the purchaser showing proper installation of the swimming pool dome. Ameri-Brand will provide written acknowledgment via email that validates the proper installation of the product and will then initiate the warranty.

Discoloration from bacteria or algae accrued during storage is not part of this warranty. Please consult the installation instructions with regard to curing algae stain due to moisture being in with the dome during storage.

Mechanical Equipment

Mechanical equipment furnished with the Ameri-Dome Pool Enclosure is covered by a prorated warranty for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of delivery. Should your product fail during the initial 12-month warranty period, a proration shall apply. For example, a blower with a 12-month warranty that fails after 6 months will be credited for replacement at the rate of 50% of the current price of the unit. This warranty provision includes the blower motor(s) and pressure switch(s), if applicable. Zipper life is wholly dependent on proper usage and is not covered under this warranty. See installation instructions for proper usage and care of the zipper. If your dome was ordered with a zipper, a spare zipper was included with your dome should you ever need it.

Should the blower motor or pressure switch appear to be defective, after obtaining written authorization from Ameri-Dome, it shall be returned to the factory, freight prepaid, for inspection. If the factory inspection confirms the claimed defect, the blower or pressure switch will be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of Ameri-Brand.

All freight and handling fees are the responsibility of the consumer to pay, both to and from Ameri-Brand's corporate location. All warranty claims must be preauthorized by an Ameri-Brand agent, and a case number must be obtained. Preauthorization can be obtained by contacting [email protected] or by calling (800) 982-6966.

Pressure Switch

If needed, the pressure switch controlling the blower motor can in nearly all cases be properly adjusted in the field to the proper setting. Please refer to the Pressure Switch Troubleshooting Guide that came with the dome. A copy of the warranty claim procedure for the pressure switch is in the Pressure Switch Warranty Process.

Note that, while adjustments can be made to the pressure switch, they are seldom necessary and should not be made without first consulting the troubleshooting guide. A particular item to be aware of is if the blower fails to turn off. If this occurs, look for any area of air loss around the dome. Air loss is the primary reason for a switch failing to activate.

Enclosure Warranty Claims

Should the enclosure appear to be defective, it should be removed, cleaned, dried, and placed in the original carton. After obtaining written authorization from Ameri-Dome, the dome may then be returned to the factory, freight prepaid, for inspection. If the factory inspection confirms the claimed defect, the enclosure will be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of Ameri-Brand.

This warranty is in lieu of any and all warranties, either expressed or implied. No other warranty beyond that specifically set forth above is authorized by Ameri-Brand. No terms of this warranty may be changed without the express written consent of Ameri-Brand, and no other person or entity is authorized to assume for us any other liability for consequential damage resulting from or out of the use of this product, the entire extent of this warranty being expressed herein. In order to initially determine the extent of any possible defect, Ameri-Brand may require detailed photos from the customer.

Ameri-Brand is not responsible or liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the delivery, use, or performance of the product or other damages with respect to any economic loss, loss of property, loss of revenue or profits, loss of enjoyment or use, cost of removal, installation, or other consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. Accordingly, the above limitation may not apply to you.

Furthermore, Ameri-Brand does not provide nor imply any warranty or coverage for costs associated with injury due to the use of our product. Please use the product in accordance with the provided manuals, which are also available online. The absence of a manual not included with a shipment does not void this warranty. The warranty extended hereunder is in lieu of all other warranties and Ameri-Brand specifically disclaims any implied warranty of merchantability for a particular purpose is limited in its scope and duration to the terms set forth herein. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts. Accordingly, the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.

Greenhouse

A unique benefit of owning our product is that in most climates it can double as a “Greenhouse.” Those plants that you would have normally brought into the house in the winter can stay in the humid environment of the swimming pool dome. Many people report that their plants actually “thrive” in the winter, as the heat coming off of the pool water is trapped within the dome and the combination of that and the sun's warmth create a comfortable area for you and your plants. A good example of how the sun can warm the inside of a dome is to compare it to a car. If your car is left with the windows “up,” the temperature will be much warmer on the inside of the vehicle than the air temperature outside. This occurs even on overcast days, as the ultraviolet rays from the sun will actually penetrate through the clouds.

Atmosphere “Under the Dome”

When entering the swimming pool enclosure, you will feel a slight “rush” of air escaping from the unit. Once inside, one of the first things you will notice is the actual interior size of the unit. A dome viewed from the inside looks much larger than it does from outside! As the ceiling and walls are partially curved, sounds within the swimming pool enclosure are magnified but slightly “muffled.” The moisture content in the inside air of the unit is noticeable but not unpleasant. On colder days, the moisture content in the air will rise and can form water droplets on the ceiling. Steam coming off of the pool water is possible on very cold days.

The movement of the air within the dome is very slight, and normally it is not felt by the users. The sound of the blower (when it's running) is quiet and smooth even if you're standing right by it.

Overall, it's like being in “a world of your own.” Isolated from the rest of the world, but only a step away from your home.
