Keep Pool Projects Moving Through Bad Weather
Rain, sleet, snow, and cold temperatures can slow or stop pool construction work. Ameri-Brand construction domes are made to provide a temporary enclosed work area for pool-related operations such as cement work, plastering, demolition, and renovation. They are designed to be put up and taken down as the job requires, and the enclosure may be heated when the heating equipment is kept a safe distance from the dome walls. Many contractors use Construction Ameri-Domes to help keep their crews working through the winter.
How a Construction Dome Is Set Up
Position the Enclosure
Pull the Construction Dome over the work area. Assemble the airlock frame, secure it to the plywood base, and attach the airlock to the dome.
Secure the Water Ballast
Fill the water-ballast bags and place them around the full perimeter. Lace rope through the grommets at the base of the dome to hold the ballast securely in position.
Inflate and Begin Work
Position the blowers where they work best for the site, connect the snorkel tubes, and turn on the fans. Wind or site conditions may require stakes or tie-offs to stationary objects.

- 1 quart of commercial-grade HH-66 adhesive and a vinyl repair kit

- 3 zippered door panels, including 1 spare
- 1 clear airlock frame cover
Supplies Provided at the Job Site
- 3/8-inch diameter poly rope for securing the water ballast
- One 4' × 8' × 1/2" piece of plywood for the airlock base
- 1-1/2-inch PVC pipe and fittings for the airlock frame
- Four 2-1/2-inch × 3/8-inch carriage bolts and nuts
- 2 wooden air chutes for the blower snorkel tubes
- Water-ballast bags, such as 3 mil 42-gallon contractor clean-up bags
- 100 plastic zip ties, 10 to 12 inches long
