Maintain a Water Temperature of at Least 45 Degrees
Completely shutting your pool heater down during periods of below-freezing weather can result in severe damage to your dome.
Why Temperature Matters
If the air temperature is below freezing in the dome, the material will become less flexible and is more susceptible to wind damage. Or, below-freezing air passing through the pressure switch can cause the switch to freeze up either in the “on” position or the “off” position. Freezing in the “on” position will cause overinflation, resulting in possible seam separation. Freezing in the “off” position results in underinflation, which can again result in damage in windy conditions.
